{"id":38264,"date":"2023-01-09T11:47:01","date_gmt":"2023-01-09T16:47:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/?p=38264"},"modified":"2023-01-09T11:47:01","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T16:47:01","slug":"ballston-spa-business-professional-association-revives-its-chocolate-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2023\/01\/ballston-spa-business-professional-association-revives-its-chocolate-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"Ballston Spa Business &amp; Professional Association Revives Its Chocolate Festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ballston Spa Chocolate Fest is returning to the village for the first time since 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Ballston Spa Business &amp; Professional Association announced the eighth festival that will take place on Friday, Feb. 3, from 4-8 p.m. throughout the village of Ballston Spa.<\/p>\n<p>There are sponsorship opportunities and the association is also calling for \u201cchocolate chef\u201d entries.<\/p>\n<p>Area restaurants, bakeries, and chefs are all welcome to compete to showcase their talents and tastes by preparing small, sample-sized chocolate offerings in three categories: dessert (sweet), savory, and chocolate beverage. These treats will be judged by those who attend the festival.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so excited to bring Chocolate Fest back to Ballston Spa,\u201d said committee member Nathan Ward. \u201cBecause of the COVID-19 pandemic, we haven\u2019t been able to host this event since February of 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While savoring chocolate treats, visitors<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>can participate a variety of First Friday activities going on throughout the village, including live music, artist demonstrations and special promotions.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"\"><b><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span>A complete list of events can be found at Ballston.org.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the festival featured over 21 \u201csweet spots\u201d throughout the downtown area.
