{"id":40914,"date":"2025-08-19T15:33:29","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/?p=40914"},"modified":"2025-08-19T15:33:29","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T19:33:29","slug":"the-saratoga-hospital-gala-raises-more-than-495000-to-support-programs-across-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2025\/08\/the-saratoga-hospital-gala-raises-more-than-495000-to-support-programs-across-region\/","title":{"rendered":"The Saratoga Hospital Gala Raises More Than  $495,000 To Support Programs Across Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 43rd Annual Saratoga Hospital Gala was attended by nearly 1,000 guests recently with an evening of poolside camaraderie, popular auction items, and record-breaking generosity, all in support of community health.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The event raised more than $495,000 net, with the highest grossing live auction in the gala\u2019s history, bringing in $269,500.<\/p>\n<p>Led by co-chairs Stephanie Collins and Cara Mild\u00e9, the gala was made possible through the dedication of a committed group of community leaders as committee members, the generous support of presenting donors and longtime hospital friends, Sonny and Julie Bonacio, and other valued donors and all in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>Together, they helped create an unforgettable evening that showcased the power of community coming together to support accessible, high-quality healthcare.<\/p>\n<p>Held at The Polo Meadow at Saratoga Casino Hotel, the celebration raised critical funds for Saratoga Hospital\u2019s Community Benefit Programs, which help provide high-quality, accessible healthcare to thousands across the region. These include primary care, dental, behavioral health, and addiction medicine.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Funds also support initiatives such as the School Health Program, Family Medicine Residency, Health Home Program, and the Saratoga Backstretch Clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Among the evening\u2019s standout moments were two unique auction items donated by Stewart\u2019s Shops: the chance to create and name your own Stewart\u2019s ice cream flavor. Each item sold for a remarkable $50,000, helping drive the live auction total to unprecedented levels.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><span class=\"\"><b><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>\u201cThis event is a powerful reminder of what our community can do when we come together,\u201d said Jill VanKuren, president and CEO of Saratoga Hospital. \u201cThe generosity shown at this year\u2019s gala directly supports vital programs and services that make healthcare more accessible for all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s gala featured 21 live auction items offering everything from one-of-a-kind experiences to adventurous getaways.
