He joined Sunmark as the Chief Risk Officer in 2022 and was named Interim Chief Financial Officer in 2024. Prior to joining Sunmark, he was a Principal with Satori Consulting, a New York City-based management consulting firm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Before that, he served as Chief Risk Officer for Old Mutual Bermuda, an investment management company, and spent over a decade in management consulting.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><span class=\"\"><b><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>\u201cVik\u2019s range of experience and commitment to the credit union movement stood out during our search process,\u201d said Brian Krawiecki, Chair of First New York\u2019s Board of Directors. \u201cFirst New York has a great team, and we are excited to bring Vik on board as their new leader.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Muktavaram earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, a master\u2019s degree in computer science from Oklahoma State University, and a bachelor\u2019s in chemical engineering from Osmania University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>First New York Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Vik Muktavaram as its next President and CEO.
