The exhibit was made possible through a partnership with GlobalFoundries, which provided $250,000 in support.<\/p>\n<p>Fab Lab transforms the museum\u2019s STEAM space into an interactive look at how semiconductors are made and why they matter. Visitors explore how microchips power everyday technologies, including smartphones, gaming systems, cars and computers.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit follows the semiconductor manufacturing process, showing how materials move through precise, controlled steps to become finished microchips. Hands-on activities cover wafer production, cleanroom environments and the importance of precision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt GF, we are committed to inspiring the next generation of innovators by helping them understand the technologies that power our world,\u201d said Ashley Castle, community affairs lead at GF Malta. \u201cFab Lab brings semiconductor manufacturing to life in a way that is accessible, engaging and meaningful for young learners, and we\u2019re proud to support an experience that connects our community to the future of technology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><span class=\"\"><b><span class=\"s1\"><span class=\"s2\"><!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>\u201cThis exhibit brings our mission to life, helping children learn through play while connecting them to real-world industries in our community that can shape their future,\u201d said Sarah Smith, executive director of The Children\u2019s Museum at Saratoga. \u201cThanks to GF, we\u2019re able to introduce a globally significant technology in a way that is engaging for school-aged children and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The museum is at 65 South Broadway in Saratoga Springs.
