This past week saw quite a swing in temperatures and in short order. Monday’s high temperature of 91 at Albany was a record high for the date, but the mercury this morning dropped to a chilly 41 degrees. That is exactly a 50 degree temperature swing in about 36 hours, pretty typical for April in upstate New York. Another typical form of spring weather in our region may also be returning this weekend in the form of some welcome rainfall, and maybe several inches of it.
A pattern change will occur this weekend as a deep trough of low pressure moves into the eastern third of the United States, with cool and wet weather for Saratoga.
