The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for the Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls area from 2 AM to 8 AM Thursday. Overnight temperatures are forecast to drop into the lower 30’s in town and upper 20’s in the surrounding hill towns. Any sensitive vegetation will be vulnerable to widespread frost and potential damage on Thursday morning, so it would be wise to bring inside or cover up these plants.
After the freezing temperatures overnight, expect clouds to quickly increase and another round of rain to move in by Thursday afternoon as a storm system approaches from the west. The rainfall could be accompanied by a few downpours and even a thunderstorm into Thursday evening. It will remain rather chilly into the upcoming weekend with potentially more freeze threats.
