A series of several freezing nights this past weekend will come to an end with one final chilly start on Monday morning. As the new work week commences, a warm up will begin with the approach of a warm front and temperatures returning to near average readings for late April.
A warm front will begin to approach the region late on Monday into early Tuesday with warmer temperatures along with the chance for a few showers.
An even more significant warm up will spread northeastward toward the Capital Region by mid-week as a surge of summer like warmth arrives.
A surge of summer-like warmth will arrive in the region by mid-week with increasing temperatures, potentially approaching 80 degrees by Thursday or Friday.
