There are always fun thing to do with the family and kids in Saratoga, and here are our Mamatoga Top Five Kid Friendly Events going on this week! From making your own snow globes to kids yoga to some fantastic kid friendly theater you’re going to have a busy week mamas!
1. On Wednesday, you can learn how to transform a regular glass jar into a beautiful Winter Wonderland Snow Globe. Saratoga Spa State Park is offering this fun class at 4pm and registration is required. Only $5 per person. You can view more information here or call 584-2000.
2. On Friday at 7pm, join Marion Altieri at Impressions of Saratoga for a reading and signing of her new book, “Clyde the Clumsy Clydesdale,” the first in a series of books teaching life lessons for children. They will have cookies, candy canes and hot cocoa so you and your kids can be nice and cozy while enjoying a new book!
3. Introduce your children to CS Lewis’ wonderful tale of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe at the Home Made Theater at Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Spa State Park. This magical and mysterious tale follows the adventures of four children who emerge out of a magical wardrobe into the exciting, never-to-be-forgotten land of Narnia, a world of mythical creatures.
On their journey the children meet Tumnus, a friendly faun, Aslan, the great and powerful lion, and the evil White Witch. This story of love, faith, courage and generosity, with its triumph of good over evil, is a true celebration of life. Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for children under 12. 4. The Go! World Awareness Children’s Museum in Glens Falls is having International Yoga on Saturday from 10-11am. Best for children ages 6-10, you and your child can explore Native American, South American and European folktales. Using yoga poses and movement, bring characters from these tales to life. Led by teacher and yoga instructor Genji Rutherford Pittelli. Call 793-2773 or visit their website at worldchildrensmuseum.org for more information and registration.
5. On Sunday, head over to the Saratoga Automobile Museum between 1 and 4pm to meet Santa, Mrs. Clause and his elves. Perfect one-on-one time with Santa for the little ones in you life. Plus, you get to browse some beautiful cars while you’re there.
