Hair Creations, a Saratoga Springs salon, has introduced Makeover Mondays as a new way to recognize a handful of women who truly deserve to be pampered with a free makeover in return for what they contribute to the community.
Do you know a deserving woman? See if she fits into one of the categories for Makeover Mondays…
June 27: A professional woman who has fallen on hard times due to the present economic climate, and thus, may need some assistance with appearance enhancement before starting the interview process.
July 25: A deserving woman who has been – for a significant period of time – selflessly advocating for a cause and/or volunteering her time.
August 29: A Dress for Success female client who requires help with appearance enhancement as she heads out into the job field.
September 26: A local woman in the community who is considered a hero in an extraordinary way.
October 24: A woman who has survived cancer, or another life threatening illness, and is at the point in her recovery in which she is ready to feel a sense of rejuvenation of both her appearance and spirit.
November 28: A woman who has been a selfless caregiver (for example, taking care of a loved one who has fallen ill) and deserves renewal of both body and spirit.
There is a deadline submission date for each category, and then the entrants go into voting. Whichever woman wins the most votes, she is the one to receive the makeover the following Monday.
I, for one, would like to give a big kudos to Hair Creations for finding such a creative way to really spotlight these women and their stories that often go unrecognized… and for rewarding them with such a spirit-lifting gift. I mean, who wouldn’t love a free makeover from a top Saratoga Springs salon?
