Fashion, food and fun… what better way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon?
The Prevention Council of Saratoga County in partnership with Saratoga National Golf Club, hosted the 2nd Annual Saratoga Spring Fashion Fling on Sunday, April 3.
The event was not only a fashion show, but a spectacular shopping experience.
The dining area was lined with tables from each participating vendor. The boutiques present showcased the newest trends in clothing and accessories for spring, making it difficult to leave without buying a few items for myself!
The fashion show, hosted by WNYT’s Jessica Layton, featured designs available at Saratoga’s trendiest stores and boutiques, but also included men’s activewear, available at Saratoga National Golf Club.
After a delicious lunch of grilled petit beef tenderloin medallions and grilled vegetable napolean on a risotto cake base, door prizes were presented to several lucky guests.
I wasn’t one of them.
However, all guests were presented with a coupon for 50% off one round of golf at Saratoga National. (A $60 value)
For the remainder of the afternoon, the dining area and hallways were crowded with enthusiastic shoppers. Even Tarot card readers and psychics were available to entertain.
After a full belly and an empty wallet, I deemed the day a success, and all for a good cause.
Proceeds from the event assist the Prevention Council of Saratoga County. The goal of the council is to give young people the skills to choose healthy behaviors, provide families with the tools to promote positive child development, help communities build family-friendly environments, and help schools build positive climates for students.
