Video Made by Local Producers Goes Viral
Patrick Willems once was a film student himself. But rather than drinking espresso and looking moody, the Saratoga native turned his college experience into a successful viral video: “Film Students Getting Punched.”
Willems is the director of Lumberjack films, a creative venture in which he and producer Max Rouzier make and produce films. Lumberjack films is financed by producing films for commercial use. However, the true love of the company is clearly their weekly videos which range from topics of superheroes to rejection letters.
“Film Students Getting Punched” was one such video. Filmed in the streets of Saratoga, the video features various pretentious film students tediously talking about their craft only to be punched by a vigilante who saves us all from the horror of a pseudo-artisan droning on.
The video has garnered creative acclaim everywhere from the Huffington Post to SlashFilm. Not to mention the fact that the video itself has over 34,000 views. One thing is for certain, these ex-film students won’t be getting punched! Their work is pure genius.
