I was just forwarded an email with the above title as the subject line. The Young Professionals Network (YPN) is looking for volunteers at a local blood drive they are hosting from 12 noon – 6pm on January 11 at the Wesley Community, located at 131 Lawrence Street in Saratoga.
Whether you have time to serve juice and cookies or just time to give blood and eat these goodies, your participation is much appreciated!
The body of the email has more details and reads as follows:
This is the 5th year that the Chamber’s Young Professionals Network is teaming up with the Red Cross to help make a difference and save lives. Can you spare some time to help make this happen?
The YPN is hosting the blood drive on Wednesday, Jan. 11th from 12 – 6 pm at the Wesley Community. We are looking for people to volunteer to staff the event. Time slots are every 2 hours. People are needed for check in and for serving juice and cookies to those who give blood…
Staffing doesn’t fit your schedule but you would still like to help? Why, thank you!
If you can give blood, that is sort of the point. Call Bridget at the Chamber to make an appointment, 584-3255.Not so much with the needles? That’s okay. Share this with your coworkers, friends and family to encourage them to give.
Thanks for helping – it helps many.
Happy Holidays!
Kathleen
