There is nothing quite like waking up to a beautiful basket filled with brightly colored eggs and candy. This year, help make Easter morning fun for those families coping with cancer by participating in the 3rd annual Project Easter Bunny, taking place March 12th- 26th.
Project Easter Bunny was started by Lisa Morahan, floydwarriors.com founder, after spending Easter Sunday in 2009 too ill to make even one basket for her own son because of her chemotherapy treatments.
Morahan promised herself that she would make up for it, and she did … ten times tenfold!
In 2010 the Project Easter Bunny was created and collected enough toys and candy to make up 100 baskets and in 2011, 135 baskets were made.
Several area cancer organizations and hospitals caring for cancer patients will receive this year’s baskets so that children of those in treatment will have a great surprise on Easter morning.
Those interested in participating please bring unopened candy and brand new small toys to participating locations between March 12th- 26th. Learn More>>
