Jonathan and Tiffany Albert, owners of Putnam Den have opened the new tapas restaurant, The Living Room on 30 Caroline Street. The Living Room has becoming instantly popular and already has a large following!
The theme for The Living Room is the Roaring 1920’s and when you walk into the place you’d think that you stepped into another era. There is a vintage dart board, 1920’s themed photos and decorations and an ornate bar that is absolutely beautiful!
The drink and food menu embraces the Jazz age as well. The drink list includes a “Daisy Buchanan” of the classic Great Gatsby novel, which is made with Bombay Sapphire gin, creme de voilette, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and a raw egg white, served in a highball glass and topped with club soda and an edible flower. Another specialty cocktail being served at the bar, is “The Bee’s Knees,” combining gin with a honey lavender syrup and made with fresh local ingredients. I think I need to put on my flapper outfit and try one of these refreshing drinks!
The kitchen serves salads, pizzas, sliders, small and medium plates of assorted comfort foods. Parents don’t worry, there is a kid’s menu as well!
If you’re looking for a new Saratoga hang out, check out The Living Room and try one of their signature cocktails! You may feel like you’re in a speakeasy, but prohibition is over…you don’t have to worry about getting busted!
