We’re seeing a trend in the theatrical world of bringing classic literary novels to life, and the Saratoga Arts scene is no exception.
You may recognize the name Dawn Oesch from The Candy Co. of Saratoga or possibly her local acting endeavors, but this time around her name will be in lights for a directorial treat when she returns to her roots as Director for the theatrical rendition of John Steinbeck’s classic, ‘Of Mice and Men‘.
“‘Of Mice and Men’ was the first school required book that made me enjoy reading…How wonderful it is to bring this literary classic to the stage,” boasted Oesch.
Leading a troupe from the Local Actors Guild of Saratoga that Director Dawn Oesch describes as the crème de la crème in the Capital District, this production is sure to be a can’t-miss-event at the Saratoga Arts Center in Saratoga Springs NY.
Dawn and the cast of ‘Of Mice and Men’ are encouraging teachers to offer extra credit for students who attend the performance.
The show is running at the Dee Sarno Theater, 320 Broadway, Saratoga Springs:
- May 11 & May 18, 2PM & 8PM
- May 12 & May 19, 2PM
