Local artist, Tom Myott joins in the celebration with a showing of ‘Hats Off to 150 Years’ – a collection of original paintings celebrating the Saratoga racing tradition on display at Gallery at Silverwood.
Painting in a series of strokes and dashes, Myott has the ability to capture the excitement and action of a day at the races using a myriad of lush, vibrant colors.
The collection includes a range subjects from horses racing at full speed, to a silent Saratoga Race Course, to jockeys, and even fancy hats! In each work Myott has a way of capturing the history and magic of the Saratoga Race Course.
The opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 18 from 7 – 9 PM, and the first 50 patrons will receive a complimentary signed poster.
Myott will also introduce and sign his limited edition tabletop book depicting paintings of Saratoga hats and thoroughbred racing.
Whether you are familiar with Myott’s work or are just now learning his name, do not miss this chance to see Tom Myott’s work in person!
