The holiday season is a time of cheer, holiday spirit and giving. It is this time of year when everyone’s hearts seem a little bigger and people reach a little deeper into their pockets to help others. Charities see the most contributions around the Christmas season.
If you have been wanting to get your children into the giving spirit but unsure which charity would be a good fit, we have found just the thing… let them give a teddy bear to brighten a child’s day in the hospital!
Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company is hosting a Teddy Bear Drive, collecting teddy bears for children at Saratoga Hospital’s Emergency Room. The drive runs from now through Thursday, December 19, 2013.
Please note: All teddy bears must be brand new! Due to high hospital standards and requirements, no used teddy bears can be distributed. Unfortunately, that means if you child wants to sacrifice his favorite teddy, he will have to look for another opportunity. But fortunately, that means the hunt for the perfect teddy bear is even more fun!
So hit the shops with your child to find a special teddy bear to donate, and then head over to your local Saratoga National to send Teddy on his journey. Soon he will be in the arms of a child in the ER who is likely in need of some holiday cheer, and your child will be the one who brought a smile to that child’s face!
