In addition to providing customers with low prices on merchandise, Dollar General’s press release states they are deeply involved in supporting literacy and education. At every location, brochures are available to help guide individuals to free literacy services and the company states they have donated more than $97 million to nonprofit organizations to help people take their first steps towards literacy and continued education.
Dan Nieser, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development commented in a press release, “Dollar General is committed to delivering a pleasant shopping experience that includes a convenient location, wide assortment of merchandise and great prices on quality products.” He continued by saying, “We hope our Greenwich customers will enjoy shopping at Dollar General’s new location.”
