While there is an extensive amount of parking throughout Saratoga Springs, it seems to always be a challenge to grab a good spot, especially during the summer. However, a new app may help ease our woes when it comes to getting a parking spot in downtown Saratoga.

City Council member, Finance Commissioner Michele Madigan, announced that ParkMe, a free app will help people find parking in Saratoga. Madigan stated in a press release, “There is a direct correlation between traffic and parking, and Saratoga Springs’ popularity and downtown density make it ripe for embracing new solutions to manage parking flow.”
The new app is available on both iOS and Android and features direct routes to parking garage entry ways, real-time parking availability and pay-by-phone for street parking. ParkMe is accessible through GPS and in-car navigation systems, online widgets, ParkMe.com, iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android apps.
I can’t wait to give ParkMe a try! Do you think the app will help ease the stresses of finding a prime parking spot in downtown Saratoga?
