Two celebrity chefs, along with some local favorites, will headline the 2015 Annual Saratoga Wine and Food Festival at SPAC on Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13.
Celebrity chefs Josh Capon of Spike TV’s popular “Frankenfood” and Ellie Krieger of the Food Network’s hit show, “Healthy Appetite” will headline the event!
Capon will host the highly anticipated Fired Up! Presented by Stella Artois and Certified Angus Beef Grill Competition on Friday, September 11 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The competition will pit five of the Capital Region’s best chefs against five Manhattan grill masters.
On Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Krieger will host the Grand Tasting and Concours D’Elegance which is the centerpiece of the festival. It will feature international wines, dishes prepared by the region’s best chefs, cooking demonstrations, wine seminars and a luxury car show.
During Saturday’s Grand Tasting, beloved Hudson-area chefs: Ric Orlando and Zak Pelaccio, will conduct cooking demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Orlando is the owner of New World Bistro located in downtown Albany and is also a two-time champion on the Food Network Series, “Chopped.” Pelaccio is famed for his award-winning cookbook, “Eat With Your Hands.”
