If you didn’t grab a ticket to Travers Day in time, have no fear! Even if you can’t watch the races at the track, that doesn’t mean you still can’t get out your best hat and celebrate in Spa City! We’ve rounded up the top Travers Day viewing parties in Saratoga! Take a look:
Saratoga Casino & Raceway
Vapor will open to the public at 4:00 PM! Guests will have the opportunity to watch the race on the 16-foot television and place bets. Admission is free and there will be $3 drink specials all day long.
Starting at noon, Fortunes will also be available to watch the races right from your table! Feast on their delicious $32.95 Travers Day Buffet.
The Lodge, also owned and operated by Saratoga Casino & Raceway will open for cocktails and wagering at 5:00 PM.
The Crown Grill
In celebration of the highly anticipated Travers Stakes, The Crown Grill will feature a special 3-course menu for just $18.64 (the first year that the Travers ran!) In addition, there will be $5 feature cocktails including The Saratoga Mule and The Triple Crown. The race can be viewed from the bar featuring surround sound quality stereo at 5:45 PM.
Gaffney’s
Catch the race on one of the many TVs throughout Gaffney’s and enjoy drink specials all evening long!
The Barrelhouse
There will be three hours of open bar and a BBQ dinner for $50 in advance or $55 the day of the party. Use their complimentary WiFi to place bets on your gaming accounts. American Pharoah merchandise will be available for purchase!
Harvey’s Irish Restaurant and Bar
Head over to Harvey’s on Travers Day. There will be 12 TVs throughout the restaurant to watch the races on, as well as drink specials. Reservations are recommended!
Brook Tavern
Watch the races at Brook Tavern during happy hour from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with $5 drafts and wine and half off snacks.
The Parting Glass
Swing by The Parting Glass at 10:00 AM for a traditional Irish breakfast with a back patio cookout starting at 6:00 PM. Watch the races all day on one of the several large flat screen TVs and sip on their special Irish American Pharoah made up of Tito’s vodka, midair and lemonade. Reservations are not necessary.
Dango’s
Doors open at 11:00 AM! There will be no cover, but reservations are recommended. The Audiostars will perform live after the race.
BWP
BWP will have live NBC coverage on all seven TV’s, as well as food an drink specials. Live music will start at 7:00 PM.
Restaurant at 62 Beekman
The party starts at 11:45 AM on Beekman Street! Brunch will be served from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Watch the races on one of three 42″ TVs. Specials will be served in the bar area only throughout the 13 races and include two for one drinks, drafts and wine, $5 tapas, silent auction for a $50 gift card a $25 gift card for the best Travers hat or fascinator.
The Ice House
No cover until 8:00 PM. The race will be shown on several large TVs with new surround sound and there will be appetizer & beer specials!
End Zone Sports Pub
Bowl and watch the races! There will be a 50% discount for drinks and appetizers.
Stadium Cafe and West Side Sports Bar & Grill
The Stadium along with West Side Sports Bar & Grill will both serve up their Signature Ribs and Chicken Breast doused in their award winning BBQ sauce while you enjoy the races on one of their 25 TVs. Be sure to try their special Sweet Tea cocktail, made with Twisted Tea draught & peach vodka. Reservations are recommended.
Wheatfields Saratoga
Enjoy complimentary appetizers, a pizza buffet, Travers drink and draft beer specials, a Hat contest, superfecta tickets, prizes and more at Wheatfields Saratoga starting at 3:00 PM!
