The Saratoga Regional YMCA recently submitted plans to expand its branch in Spa City. Get the details on the pending renovations:

The Saratoga Springs YMCA wants to expand its facility and create several outdoor attractions at its West Avenue location.
The plans include a 17,000-square-foot addition that would include a larger pool and gymnasium, an outdoor pavilion, a baseball/softball diamond, rope course, basketball court, archery range and a zip line or aerial rope slide. Also included will be areas for tetherball and a dodgeball inspired game. The expansion will also add an additional 186 parking spots.
Sean Andrews, CEO of the Saratoga Regional YMCA, told the Times Union that the idea for the proposed outdoor activities came from a strong interest in their summer camp. By expanding its outdoor offerings, it’s projected that youth memberships to the camp will grow from 140 to 300.
We’re looking forward to seeing the proposed changes come to life at the Saratoga Springs YMCA! What do you think about the expansion?
