1. Creative Place International’s Pop! Shakespeare Reading

Join the National Museum of Dance’s resident professional theatre company, The Creative Place International, as they present POP Shakespeare – a free play reading event. This Shakespearian/Pop Culture mash-up is not to be missed!
2. Little Chefs: April Fools Day Class
Friday, April 1
Bring your little chefs to Serendipity Arts Studio on Friday where they’ll make “pizza cupcakes”! Preschoolers will learn basic kitchen skills in this class, and will also do an art activity.
3. Opera: Xerxes
Friday, April 1 & Saturday, April 2
Set in present day, this seriocomic opera presented at Skidmore’s Arthur Zankel Music Center features a power struggle, escalated emotions, and a brilliant score by Handel. The Skidmore String Orchestra will be led by guest conductor, Scott Schoonover.
4. Behemoth Short Film Festival
Saturday, April 2
The Behemoth Short Film Festival showcases the very best in underground cinema from filmmakers across the country! Two showings will be held on Saturday evening, one at 6pm and one at 8:30pm.
5. Ted Rall – Bernie
Saturday, April 2
Join two-time Kennedy Award-winning journalist Ted Rall at Northshire Bookstore for a discussion of his best-selling graphic novel. This graphic biography, written through conversations with Bernie Sanders, explores the presidential candidate’s personal and political development.
