Death Wish Coffee is renowned for its entertaining Viking commercial, strong coffee, and being a local company. Next month, the recognizable brand will be a major sponsor for the Markets at Round Lake, an indie craft, food, and drink marketplace on August 13 &14!

Death Wish Coffee started out as a small company in Saratoga Springs called Saratoga Coffee Drinkers. In 2012, founder and owner Mike Brown changed the name to Death Wish Coffee and established a new headquarters in Round Lake. The popularity of the coffee company grew after its commercial was featured during Super Bowl 50.
The addition of Death Wish Coffee at this year’s Markets at Round Lake represents a major change in tradition. The event’s producer, the Woman’s Round Lake Improvement Society, has hosted more of a traditional arts and crafts festival over the past 30 years. This year’s event will instead feature four distinct markets: an Indie Maker Market, a Progressive Craft Market, a Used Books Market, and an Artisanal Food & Drink Market (highlighted by Death Wish Coffee).
“The Markets at Round Lake is all about breaking from tradition while still honoring it,” said Co-Chair and Event Producer Eva Sbardella Sackal in a press release. “Many of these makers and artisans, like Death Wish, use age old techniques in new, distinct ways.” While the event’s brands and goods are on par with the highest quality products, they will be available at more reasonable prices.
One of the other featured brands is art design studio Pratt & Hebert. In a press release, co-owner Sarah Pratt said, “we use traditional craft methods to create progressive design, and the Markets at Round Lake honor that fusion of art, craft, and design.”
The Markets at Round Lake will be open on August 13 & 14, from 9:00AM-5:00PM on both days. It will take place throughout the center of Round Lake, and there will be both vendors and live entertainment. Come by and help celebrate the best indie makers around!
