The Saratoga & North Creek Railway (SNCRR) – a passenger train that operates between Saratoga Springs and North Creek – is providing guests with a unique opportunity for an excellent dining experience coupled with beautiful views.
Step back in time as you board the vintage train car for an amazing traveling experience like no other.
The railway is bringing back The Pullman Table, a fine-dining rail experience. Chefs will be guiding patrons through a journey of regional, farm-to-table meals as they travel through the majestic Adirondacks. Guests can expect five course menus with a high standard of service.
“White tablecloths, clinking glasses, the ever changing scenery rushing past; it’s quite romantic,” Angela Lane, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Premier Rail Collection, said in a statement; the SNCRR is a part of the Premier Rail Collection. “We are always seeking new experiences and Pullman Table creates lasting memories pairing a scenic backdrop with farm-to-table cuisine.”
The Pullman Table will be sourcing ingredients from various regions in the Adirondacks, and will be pairing the exquisite dishes with local craft beer, wine, and spirits.
George Pullman, who started the original Pullman Sleeping Car Company, set the standard for a high quality experience for guests in the rail industry. His advanced approach to hospitality set the foundation for The Pullman Table’s approach to fine-dining while traveling by train.
Tickets are $89 for Standard Class and $99 for Diamond Class. All train rides start out in Saratoga and make a round-trip to Thurman for a total of three hours of scenic views and great food. Dinner, lunch, and brunch trains are available throughout the summer and fall, and on certain holidays.
Tickets can be purchased at www.sncrr.com or by calling 877.726.7245.
The SNCRR provides excursions, dining trains, and select special events for its guests – including the popular Polar Express train ride in the winter, which brings the adored children’s book and movie to life.
