Vet Help, along with Pompa Bros. Inc., is hosting Saratoga’s inaugural Veterans Ball on Saturday, October 29th from 6 pm to 10 pm at the New York State Military Museum in Saratoga Springs.
Attendance at the ball will support Vet Help’s mission to serve local veterans and their families through access to affordable housing, skill development training, career counseling, and benefits assistance as veterans transition to civilian life.
Vet Help has four facilities and multiple support services programs that provide transitional and permanent housing to over 200 veterans a year. Veterans who receive assistance from Vet Help are referred to the Stratton VA for health services, mental health treatment, and other medical services as needed.
Executive Director of Vet Help, Cheryl Hage-Perez said in a press release about the event: “The Veterans Ball is such an exciting event to support our veterans. The response from the community is very inspiring. The proceeds from the ball will help us ensure all veterans have safe, decent, stable, and affordable housing in our community.”
The Veterans Ball will be held at the New York State Military Museum and will feature dinner and dessert tastings by several notable area restaurants, including 2 West Bar & Grill, Forno Bistro, Harvey’s Restaurant & Bar, Jacob & Anthony’s American Grille, The Wishing Well Restaurant, Three Vines Bistro, Longfellows Restaurant, Olde Bryan Inn, Sperry’s Restaurant, Panza’s Restaurant, The Local Pub & Tea House, and Lanzi’s on the Lake.
Beyond the allure of exploring the museum after-hours, the evening will include LaSalle Institute’s JROTC Color Guard, Honorary Chair Ray O’Conor, live music by The Greg Nazarian Dance Band, a silent auction, and Bill Fox of B95.5fm as emcee.
Tickets are $50 per person and may be purchased online.
