A world-renowned ensemble is performing at Caffe Lena next month as part of a new collaboration between the coffeehouse and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center – and other concerts are already in the works. It’s an exciting time for the music and arts scene in Saratoga!

The New York City-based St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble is performing at Caffe Lena on Tuesday, April 25th. You can expect a versatile and influential concert from this prominent ensemble who has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Caramoor Music Festival.
This performance by St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble is entitled “Bach and Telemann’s Coffeehouse,” and is a program inspired by Cafe Zimmerman, the 18th-century cafe where Bach and his friends often gathered.
“The Orchestra of St. Luke’s is known and revered across the globe for its unique blend of creative programming and artistic excellence,” Elizabeth Sobol, President and CEO of SPAC, said in a statement.

St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble’s concert is part of a new partnership forged between Caffe Lena and SPAC. The two performance venues plan to continue joining together to present programs at both establishments – a few more events are already in place: folk-pop band Darlingside is performing on April 1st, and folk band Harpeth Rising is performing on May 4th.
“We greeted 2017 with the grand reopening of our beautifully renovated historic venue and a commitment to expanded programming and collaborations,” Sarah Craig, Executive Director of Caffe Lena, said in a statement. “This initiative achieves both of those goals and connects us to SPAC which has been a cultural neighbor and friend to our organization for 50 years.”
Tickets for St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble at Caffe Lena are $45 and are available on brownpapertickets.com.
