An Albany craft beer and bottle shop is opening a second location in Saratoga, a well-liked chain restaurant recently made its home in the Spa City, and new owners are taking over a favorite local eatery – you’ll definitely want to check out these new and exciting establishments right here in Saratoga.

Pint Sized
August Rosa, owner of Brew in Albany, recently announced he’s expanding his specialty beer shop to Saratoga – and, he’s adding a bar. The new shop and bar will be called Pint Sized; Brew will be rebranded under this new name and will have a bar added as well.
Pint Sized is not just a great punny name, it’s also a testament to the actual size of the bar. Pint Sized will be operating out of a somewhat tight space, with Rosa concentrating on quality over quantity with a rotating inventory of fresh beers.
“There is no room for sub-par product,” Rosa said in a statement.
Pint Sized will have 12 beers on tap available by glass or growler, along with a small wine list and light fare food; there will also be a variety of bottled beers for sale. The bar will accommodate about 25 guests at a time.
The bar and beer shop will be located at 489 Broadway and will open sometime in the spring. In the meantime, stop by Brew on Lark Street for craft beer, craft soda, specialty coffee, and more.
Jersey Mike’s Subs
The popular gourmet sub shop has recently opened a new location in Saratoga.
Jersey Mike’s is known for its high-quality meats and cheeses, fresh vegetables, and an expertly blended red wine vinegar and olive oil mixture. Last year, the restaurant was named the #1 fastest growing chain in the Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100 for the third year in a row.
Franchise owner Jonathan Trager also runs the Jersey Mike’s Subs in Clifton Park, Latham, and Glenmont.
You can find Jersey Mike’s in Wilton Plaza, open 10am to 9pm every day.
Crown Grill
The Crown Grill on Broadway closed this past weekend and another restaurant will be taking its place.
Crown Grill owners Christel and Colin MacLean have closed the restaurant to focus on one of their other businesses, the Saratoga Juice Bar.
Scott Brankman and Emily Farnsworth-Brankman – a husband and wife team like the MacLeans – have purchased the Crown Grill. The couple plans to call the new establishment Braeburn Tavern, and they’re aiming to open sometime this spring.
The MacLeans are still operating the Circus Cafe in addition to the Saratoga Juice Bar. If you happen to have a gift certificate to the Crown Grill, it can be redeemed at the Circus Cafe with no expiration.
