This Memorial Day Weekend, honor those who have served our country with parades and living history activities at the Saratoga Battlefield Park. Since Memorial Day is also the unofficial start to summer, there are also several great events happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at area restaurants, business, and parks.

Memorial Day Observances
Saratoga Springs Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony
Thursday, May 25
The Saratoga Springs Memorial Day Parade will take place on Thursday, May 25 and start at the north end of Broadway at 6:30 pm. Join the community, local veterans organizations, marching bands, and service organizations in honoring those who have given their lives for our country.
Ballston Spa Memorial Day Parade
Saturday, May 27
Step off is at 9 am for the Ballston Spa Memorial Day Parade. The parade will proceed down Milton Avenue and be followed by a wreath ceremony at Kayaderosseras Creek with speakers and presentations at the War Memorial park on Low Street.
Memorial Day at Saratoga Battlefield
Monday, May 29
Nearly 500 Americans were killed or wounded at the battles of Saratoga. This special Memorial Day event at Saratoga Battlefield honors those sacrifices made by militia officers and soldiers in 1777. There will be musket firing demonstrations, living history activities, and remembrances by park staff and volunteers to honor those who fell at Saratoga.

Hattie’s Crawfish Festival
Monday, May 29
Hattie’s annual Crawfish Festival is back this Memorial Day! This year, the festival will run ALL day from 11 am to 9 pm. Fresh crawfish by the pound, fried chicken, gumbo, shrimp, and more! Entertainment will include The Garland Nelson Ensemble from 11-4 and DJ Trumaster from 4-7. Sorry, no reservations!
Downtown Saratoga Memorial Day Weekend Sidewalk Sale
Friday, May 26 – Monday, May 29
Join the businesses of downtown Saratoga in kicking off the summer with a Memorial Day Weekend sidewalk sale. There will be shopping and dining specials at participating Downtown Business Association Businesses.
Battenkill Runs Through It Festival
Saturday, May 27
The Battenkill Conservancy’s 7th Annual beach, music, and food festival returns this Saturday. Kick off the summer on the banks of the Battenkill at Greenwich Town Beach and help raise environmental awareness in a fun and engaging way. Entertainment will include popular regional band, HEARD, storytelling, and a traditional flag raising ceremony. This year’s Battenkill Picnic Plate includes Salem Scout’s famous chicken barbecue paired with delicious and healthy sides from area restaurants.
