The Adelphi Hotel is hosting an elegant charity event this evening to commemorate the grand reopening of the historic hotel, and they’re using the opportunity to raise funds for an important nonprofit in the area.
The grand reopening of the iconic Adelphi Hotel is doubling as a fundraiser for Double H Ranch, a camp in Lake Luzerne specializing in free programs and year-round support for terminally ill children. Guests will be enjoying cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts prepared by the experienced Adelphi Hotel culinary team and entertainment provided by Garland Nelson’s Soul Session.
This hotel has been a historical landmark on Broadway and a Saratoga staple for 140 years. It’s considered to be the last Victorian hotel in the Spa City, and renovations have been underway for the past five years.
Restorations of the Adelphi Hotel have taken so long because of all the effort to preserve the history of the building while incorporating the necessary modern aspects today’s guests expect from a hotel. Representatives working to allow the state and federal historic tax credits for the hotel had to monitor every detail of the renovations.
Fortunately, the hard work has paid off, and the Adelphi Hotel celebrates tonight as they raise funds for an incredibly worthwhile cause.
