Veterans Day is upon us, and during this weekend, a variety of events and activities will be held throughout the Saratoga community to honor our heroes. From the ceremony at Saratoga National Historical Park to local shows and festivals, here are some of this weekend’s can’t-miss events.

Attend These Veterans Day Weekend Events
Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Saratoga National Historical Park – Saturday, November 11
Visit Saratoga National Historical Park in Stillwater on Veterans Day for their annual ceremony. The event will include musket firing demonstrations and discussions about Revolutionary War American soldiers.
Veterans Day Ceremony at Maplewood Cemetery – Saturday, November 11
Spend Veterans Day with the Gurtler Brothers VFW Post 420 in Saratoga Springs! They will be hosting a memorial service at Maplewood Cemetery at 10:00am on Saturday, and then there will be a ceremony and luncheon at the Post’s headquarters.
Comedy at Nostalgia for Our Veterans – Friday, November 10
To support the area’s veterans, Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar will host a comedy show on Friday at 8:00pm. Proceeds from this fun night out will assist local homeless veterans in the Capital Region.
Lake George Community Band Veterans Day Concert – Sunday, November 12
The Lake George Community Band will present a special concert for veterans at Glens Falls High School on Sunday at 3:00pm. They will play a variety of patriotic tunes to honor those who have served and are currently serving in the military. General admission is $10 for adults and free for veterans/active duty/students/children.
Second Annual Veterans Ball – Sunday, November 12
On Sunday at 5:00pm, the Veterans & Community Housing Coalition, Inc. will host the second annual Veterans Ball at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga Springs. Join them for this fundraiser night and enjoy food from Mazzone Hospitality, silent auction items, a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle, and more.

Arts Fest Friday – You Oughta Be In Pictures – Friday, November 10
SaratogaArtsFest will present a special Arts Fest Friday at Falstaff’s on the Skidmore campus this Friday from 6:00pm-8:00pm. This free event will include a screening of Buster Keaton’s classic silent film “The Camera Man,” live music, a fun virtual reality experience, and more. You must RSVP for this event.
Holiday Art Show – Saturday, November 11 & Sunday, November 12
Looking to get some gift shopping done early? Check out the National Museum of Dance’s annual Holiday Art Show this weekend! This fine arts and crafts show will feature a selection of handmade jewelry, quilts, sculptures, pottery, and more.
Chase Con – Saratoga’s Comic Con – Saturday, November 11 & Sunday, November 12
Get ready for Saratoga’s annual Comic Con at the Saratoga City Center – Chase Con! On Saturday and Sunday, stop by the convention center for celebrity appearances, vendor booths, cosplay guest stars, comic books, and more.

West Mountain School’s Ski Swap Fundraiser – Saturday, November 11
Start preparing for ski season and stop by West Mountain for their Ski Swap Fundraiser on Saturday from 9:00am-4:00pm. The consignment sale will be held in the Main Lodge, and there will be gently used skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, and more).
Huge Indoor Garage and Bake Sale – Saturday, November 11
From 9:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, the Presbyterian-New England Congregational Church in Saratoga Springs will host a Huge Indoor Garage and Bake Sale. All proceeds from the sale will benefit church youth group activities.
