Have you heard of local country music fan Sue Bogucki? She was a huge presence on the Capital Region country music scene until mid-November of this year, when she unexpectedly passed away. The Saratoga Casino Hotel is hosting a tribute concert for her this month with well-known local country bands performing.
Event Details
The concert is taking place on Thursday, December 21st at Vapor, located in the Saratoga Casino Hotel, and is called “We Band Together: A Tribute to Sue.”
Artists in attendance will be Big Sky Country, Skeeter Creek, Moonshine Junkies, the Jason Wicks Band, Vinny Saj Band, and the Back 40 Band featuring Mark Pierre. The event will be hosted by Kevin Richards of 100.9 The Cat.
Tickets are $20, are still available, and can be purchased at the hotel’s website; you can also purchase them at the Saratoga Club inside the hotel.
All proceeds from the event will be going to Sue’s family to offset funeral costs.
About Sue Bogucki
Sue Bogucki was named North Country Music Awards “Fan of the Year” for both 2016 and 2017. She felt passionate about supporting local talent and could often be found right in the front row at local country music shows.
“When we heard of Sue’s passing we knew we had to do this for her,” Brad Gardner, member of Big Sky Country, said in a statement. “Sue was always the life of the party at all our shows and we will deeply miss one of our most devoted fans.”
