Food Festivals & Winterfests
One of the highlights of winter in Saratoga Springs happens this coming Saturday – Chowderfest! Take a stroll through downtown Saratoga and taste all kinds of delicious chowder from your favorite Saratoga restaurants and establishments. Each sample costs $1, so try as many as you can and then vote for the ones you enjoyed the most.
Got a sweet tooth? Attend the 5th Annual Chocolate Festival in Ballston Spa on Friday from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Visit the participating establishments, taste some chocolate samples, and then vote for your favorite creations.
This Saturday, take a short trip to Jackson and have a blast at their Winterfest celebration! This festival will feature cold weather activities for the whole family, including ice skating, sledding, ice fishing, horse-drawn wagon rides, and much more. Admission is free.
Saratoga Winterfest is the city’s inaugural Gymnastics Meet that will be held at the Saratoga Springs City Center on Saturday and Sunday. Over 600 gymnasts will compete in a variety of events throughout the competition.
For as long as Jack Frost allows, The Adelphi Hotel will welcome visitors to their one-of-a-kind ice bar on the terrace adjacent to The Blue Hen. Guests can stop by and order from a special menu of craft cocktails.
Don’t miss the first weekend of The Mill on Round Lake’s Ice Bar and Fire & Ice Days. Relax at the 30-foot ice bar, warm up by the fire pits, and order a martini or specialty cocktail.
Fun Activities To Check Out
Take part in a Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe event at Saratoga Spa State Park on Friday evening. The cost to participate is a minimum donation of two canned food items. Explore the candlelit loop and then warm up by the bonfire.
Put on your dancing shoes and head over to Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar in Malta for Friday Night Fever! This fun night of dancing will include music and some vinyl records played by Select Ed.
Looking for an event the kids will love? Bring them to Northshire Bookstore’s All Ages Harry Potter Book Night on Sunday from 3:00pm-6:00pm for a costume contest, a golden egg scavenger hunt, trivia, and more.
