Do you love the snowy winter weather? If so, then register for one of the horse drawn sleigh rides at Lapland Lake Cross-Country Ski Center in Northville this Saturday. J and D Percherons Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides will be offering trips through a winter wonderland from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

3rd Annual Dr. King Challenge – Friday, January 12
Visit the JKB Theater at Skidmore College on Friday at 7:00pm for the 3rd Annual Dr. King Challenge – Saratoga Springs! This energizing evening of powerful micro-performances will be free and open to the public.
America’s Family Tree – Saturday, January 13
The Frederick Allen Lodge on Beekman Street will host a talk on the basics of how to research one’s family ancestry. The session will run from 3:30pm-5:30pm, and the content is appropriate for people of all ages, races, and genders. Admission is free.
Community Building Through Community Service – MLK Saratoga – Monday, January 15
Want to get involved in MLKSaratoga? Participate in volunteer projects around Saratoga Springs on Monday during the Community Building Through Community Service event. Registration for the volunteer projects will begin at 9:15am at the Saratoga Springs Public Library.

Hattie’s 18th Annual Mardi Gras Benefit – Saturday, January 13
Hattie’s Restaurant will host their 18th Annual Mardi Gras Benefit at the Canfield Casino on Saturday from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Enjoy dancing along to music by Soul Session and Garland Nelson! Admission is $100 per person.
Tango Fusion January Open House – Friday, January 12
Learn how to dance at Tango Fusion’s third January Open House this Friday! Classes will be held at the Newberry Music Hall in Saratoga Springs at 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday evening. New students may take one complimentary class, and no partner or experience is necessary.
Bring Your Swing Dance – Friday, January 12
Spend Friday evening mixing it up on the dance floor at Nostalgia Ale House & Wine Bar in Malta! Chris Wright Entertainment will be providing the tunes during the Bring Your Swing Dance event from 8:00pm-10:00pm.

7th Annual American Culinary Federation Competition – Friday, January 12
This Friday, Skidmore College will host the 7th Annual American Culinary Federation Competition inside the Murray-Aikins Dining Hall from 8:00am-1:00pm. This event will feature executive chefs from colleges and universities around the Northeast competing in a “Chopped”-style contest. Admission is free for spectators!
Wilton Mall Boat Show – Friday, January 12 – Sunday, January 21
Looking forward to the beginning of boating season? Stop by Wilton Mall this weekend and check out the Boat Show, which will include all styles of boats on display. The show will run through Sunday, January 21.
