Wondering what to do this coming weekend in Saratoga? Although the Beer Week festivities are over, there’s a whole new schedule of top events and fun activities to check out this weekend! From the Saratoga Home & Lifestyle Show to a local brewfest, we’ve rounded up some of the best things to do in the region.
Attend Awesome Shows
Spring is in the air, and if you’re preparing for some home improvement projects, then attend the free Saratoga Home & Lifestyle Show at the Saratoga City Center and get inspired! Over 100 vendors will be at the show, and the special activities will include an art show on the second floor, a mac n’ cheese bake-off on Saturday, and more.
This weekend, over 30 vendors will be spread out throughout Wilton Mall as part of the Saratoga Spring Expo. Stop by on Saturday and Sunday and browse a wide range of products, such as pottery, ceramics, stained glass, and more.
Have Fun at These Festive Events
Saratoga Beer Week may be over, but you can still drink delicious beer, wine, and cider at the annual Glens Falls Brewfest in downtown Glens Falls. The festival will take place at the Queensbury Hotel on Saturday, and admission will include tastings, a souvenir tasting glass, live music, and free food samples.
The 8th annual SPAC Winter Ball will be held at the Hall of Springs this Saturday from 7:00pm-11:00pm. For this year’s gala, the theme is “Journey Under the Sea,” and attendees will enjoy live music by Funk Evolution, ocean-inspired fare by Mazzone Hospitality, an open bar, and more.
Everyone is welcome to attend Temple Sinai’s annual Community Purim Carnival at Wilton’s Gavin Park this Sunday. From 1:00pm-3:00pm, there will be games, bounce houses, crafts for kids, a photobooth, and a dance party with a DJ.
Enjoy Live Performances
Don’t miss the second weekend of the Hubbard Hall Center for the Arts and Education’s presentation of The Velocity of Autumn, a hilarious and heartfelt comedy about what happens when life becomes too hard to handle. The play will be performed on Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00pm.
Skidmore Theater’s Spring 2018 Black Box Production is Everything You Touch by Sheila Callaghan and directed by Rachel Karp ’18. The play will be performed at the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater beginning this Friday.
Bring the kids to Saratoga Arts Center on Saturday for Opera Saratoga’s new production of The Ugly Duckling, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale. The show is recommended for ages pre-k through sixth grade.
