FloydWarriors.com founder Lisa Morahan was unable to make a basket for her child on Easter Sunday in 2009. This was because she was too sick from chemotherapy.
Every year since then thousands of Easter baskets have been created and donated to oncology centers across the Capital Region, and they need your help once again this year.
About Project Easter Bunny
This amazing program is called Project Easter Bunny, and it’s implemented by FloydWarriors.com, which helps families cope with cancer.
Donations of new toys and new, wrapped candy are needed, so every child with a sick parent can be sure to have a festive Easter basket come this Easter Sunday.
Drop Off Locations for Donations
You can drop off donations of new toys and candy at the following locations between now and March 16th:
- Saratoga Springs State Park Parks Office Building
- Mollie Wilmot Center of Saratoga Hospital
- Malta Community Center
- The Hope Club of Latham
- Ballston Spa National Bank (all locations)
- NBT Banks of Guilderland on New Karner Road and in Albany on Wolf Road
- The CR Wood Cancer Center of Glens Falls Hospital
Volunteer to Put Baskets Together
The baskets will be assembled from the donations on March 24th and delivered to local oncology centers and cancer support centers in time for Easter.
Volunteers are needed for the assembling of the baskets – visit floydwarriors.com to register to volunteer, or to find out more information.
