The highlight of Saratoga Race Course’s racing season, Travers Day, features the oldest major thoroughbred race in America – the $1.25 million Travers Stakes. The 2018 meet will feature the 149th running of this event, and if you want to witness it live, then it’s highly recommended to purchase your reserved seat now!
Travers Day to Feature Limited Reserved Seating
If you want to guarantee yourself a seat at Saratoga Race Course on Travers Day (August 25, 2018), then you should consider purchasing a six-day weekly ticket plan through the New York Racing Association, Inc (NYRA). Travers Day is a hugely popular racing event, and as such, only a limited number of reserved seats will be offered.
These reserved seats are currently available if you purchase the weekly ticket plan for Week 6 of the 2018 meet (August 22-27), which includes the Travers. When single-day tickets go on sale in early May, reserved seats will not be available through the NYRA Box Office.

The Countdown to the 2018 Meet Has Begun
Not only are weekly ticket plans available for Saratoga Race Course, but the neighboring Oklahoma Training Track is now open for spring training for the thoroughbreds that will be competing at Saratoga this year. If you’d like to see the horses, the Whitney Viewing Stand will be open to the public on Saturdays and Sunday from 6:00am-10:30am. Then, on July 20, 2018, the Viewing Stand will be open daily.
