It’s almost that time again! On Saturday, August 25, Travers Day is coming back to Saratoga Race Course. While reserved seats are sold out, admission tickets are still available — and with a special deal when you purchase in advance. Read on to find out how you can save before the big day!
About Travers Day 2018
Sponsored by champion sprinter Runhappy, the 149th annual Travers Stakes will feature the nation’s top 3-year-olds. Kentucky Derby runner-up and Haskell winner Good Magic, Jim Dandy winner Tenfold, and Belmont Stakes runner-up Gronkowski are all expected to race in the Runhappy Travers. Also expected to appear at the starting gate will be Wonder Gadot, named after Wonder Woman (2017) actress Gal Gadot. The field’s first filly in almost 4 decades, she could be on her way to becoming the first female winner since 1915!
The $1.25 million Runhappy Travers is one of six Grade 1 stakes taking place on Travers Day. Others include the $1 million Sword Dancer, $700,000 Personal Ensign, $600,000 Forego, $500,000 Ketel One Ballerina, and H. Allen Jerkens presented by Runhappy. The blockbuster card will also feature the Grade 2, $400,000 Woodford Reserve Ballston Spa.
