On Sunday, September 9, The Wesley Foundation will be hosting its second annual Saratoga Grandparents Day. The special event will celebrate grandparents and great-grandparents with a day of family fun, from auctions and carnival games to magic shows and giveaways!
Good Fun for a Great Cause
Free and open to the public, the community event will provide fun, games, and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy together! “Our Saratoga Grandparents Day celebration is a terrific way for multiple generations to connect and recognize the role that grandparents play in their lives,” said Wesley Foundation board member and event chair Timothy Busch in a statement. “We look forward to celebrating this national holiday by providing plenty of ways for grandparents and grandchildren to spend the day together while raising funds for The Wesley Community.”
Activities at the event will include:
- Carnival-style games,
- A silent auction,
- Face painting,
- Balloon art,
- A magician,
- Photo opportunities,
- And more!
In addition, the first 250 grandparents to attend will receive a special giveaway!
The Grandparents Day celebration will be held from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Saratoga Springs City Center. Proceeds from select activities and items will support the renovation of The Wesley Health Care Center Resident Activities Room, which serves as a social hub and performance venue for the Center’s residents.
