One of the great things about SPAC is the performing arts venue always goes above and beyond stage performances to provide fun events and give back to the community. Another one of these lively happenings is coming up!
SPAC is once again gearing up for the Nutcracker Tea, a favorite Capital Region holiday tradition, which you’ll have two chances to attend.
The Nutcracker Tea is taking place on Sunday, November 18th, at 11am and at 3pm. Both performances are happening at the Hall of Springs. Tickets are $75 for adults and $35 for kids 15 and under. Proceeds are benefiting the arts education programs at SPAC.
At both events, the American Girl Place of New York City will host a raffle for the limited edition Luciana doll, the American Girl Doll of the Year. Luciana who is an aspiring astronaut dreaming of going to Mars.
Other happenings at the event include: ballet excerpts from The Nutcracker performed by the Northeast Ballet Company; tea, mini sandwiches, cookies, and other light fare; a visit from Santa; and more.
“The Nutcracker Tea is an engaging afternoon for families and a great way to connect our community with the arts in a fun, accessible way,” Elizabeth Sobol, President and CEO of SPAC, said in a statement. “This year, on the heels of Disney’s new movie release, we expect interest in the event to reach an all-time high.”
