Whether you’re a long-time jazz lover or just enjoy great music, you won’t want to miss the 42nd Annual Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) on June 29 & 30, 2019. This annual festival is one of the most highly anticipated summer events as it always brings an extraordinary roster of jazz musicians and groups to the Spa City.

Experience a Weekend of World-Class Jazz
The 2019 Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival will feature two days and two stages of live, world-class jazz at SPAC. Performances will take place at the Charles R. Wood “Jazz Discovery” Stage and SPAC’s Amphitheater Stage on Saturday and Sunday.
This year, audiences can look forward to a fantastic lineup of 22 musical groups, including 15 festival debuts and seven female-led ensembles.
The highlight of the weekend will be the festival debut of Grammy® award winning artist Norah Jones, as well as the return of jazz legend George Benson and festival favorite Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue. In addition, Los Van Van 50th Anniversary, Django Festival All-Stars with Edmar Castañeda and Grace Kelly, Joshua Redman Quartet, and James Carter Organ Trio will be back by popular demand!
Throughout the festival, Kandace Springs, Donna Grantis, Mercy Project, and more emerging artists will make their Saratoga debuts. There will also be a record number of ensembles led by women artists, such as Allison Miller, Veronica Swift, Ruthie Foster, and Youn Sun Nah.
Celebrate Jazz and the Arts All Weekend Long
During the Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival, a wide range of events will take place at SPAC, including a fine arts and crafts fair, CD signings by artists, a southern style barbecue, and food vendors. Guests may bring their own food and beverages, blankets, tents, and lawn umbrellas.
Not only that, but on Friday, June 28, the Times Union will present Freihofer’s Jazz Fest Friday, an annual collaboration with the City of Saratoga Springs and the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the area’s history of jazz. Local Chamber businesses will host live jazz events, themed dining, and more to kick off the weekend.
