One of the highlights of spring in Saratoga is the annual Historic Homes Tour, presented by the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation (SSPF). This self-guided tour is a fantastic opportunity to explore some of the city’s most historic homes, and it will take place on May 11, the Saturday before Mother’s Day.
Explore Saratoga’s Historic East Side Neighborhood
The 2019 Historic Homes Tour will bring visitors to the East Side Neighborhood in Saratoga Springs where they’ll have the chance to see the interiors of private, historic homes. In a press release, Samantha Bosshart, Executive Director of the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation, said, “We have a great array of houses, small to large, that we are highlighting this year.”
The self-guided tour will be held from 10:00am-4:00pm on May 11, and funds raised from the event will support the SSPF’s programs and efforts to preserve the city’s unique architectural, landscaped, and cultural heritage.
If you’re interested in buying tickets in advance, they will only cost $30 for SSPF members and $40 for non-members. On the day of the event, tickets will be available for $35 for members and $45 for non-members at 112 Spring Street in Saratoga Springs.
In addition, there will be special events before and during the tour. Tickets are limited for each special event, and they include:
- Porch Party on Thursday, May 9, at the Circular Manor Bed & Breakfast
- Breakfast & Buildings on Saturday, May 11, at the Van Raalte Mill
- Lunch & Learn on Saturday, May 11, at the New York State Military Museum
