Thursday nights in Saratoga Springs are once again the place for A Cappella. Starting July 25 and continuing through August 29, The Racing City Chorus will be singing at a variety of businesses up and down Broadway starting at 7pm.
Locations for this summer’s Barbershop on Broadway include Union Hall Supply Co., Adirondack Trust, and the Stewart’s Shops on Church Street and Broadway. The chorus will end their journey along Broadway at 9pm, but audiences can join them for their “After-Glow Party” at Olde Bryan Inn. Enjoy more music, as well food and beverages, at the historic restaurant.
The barbershop chorus, founded in 1956 and consisting of more than 40 local A Cappella singers, spends each Saratoga racing season serenading audiences at venues along Broadway.
“The Chorus entertains visitors with a wide variety of songs enjoyed by all,” said Racing City Chorus President Steve Dyer in a statement. “We have had folks from many different states and countries tell us how much they enjoyed our music. We look forward to entertaining again this year thanks to our many sponsors who have made it all possible.”
The Racing City Chorus is a part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, which consists of 25,000 members nationwide and rehearses Tuesdays at 7:30 pm at the PBA Club House.
