Shot over four decades, “VIRGIN BLACKTOP: a New York skate odyssey” is Samuels’ first documentary feature film. The movie tells a story about a group of kids from Hudson River towns with nothing in common except their shared love of skateboarding.
“VIRGIN BLACKTOP” is a coming-of-age film that shows how this group of friends has changed since meeting and forming “The Wizards,” a competitive, traveling team, about 40 years ago. It’s won multiple awards and received rave reviews, and on Saturday, October 19, at 3:00pm, will finally be screened in Upstate NY at Adirondack Film Festival.
