Whether you love patio dining, shopping, or strolling down Broadway, downtown Saratoga is the place to be this summer. The area is a shopper’s paradise, and one of the top spots for fashion, gifts, art, wellness, and dining is the Saratoga Marketplace. In fact, during the recent economic closure, this local shopping mall has undergone a full transformation to provide an improved customer experience.
Here’s What to Expect During Your Next Shopping Spree
Located right in the heart of downtown, the Saratoga Marketplace is a two-story retail arcade home to over 14 retail, lifestyle, and restaurant properties, most of which are operated by young, local entrepreneurs.
According to a press release, the Saratoga Marketplace has worked hard in recent months to complete a number of renovations, including the restoration of the tin ceiling, interior painting and new lighting throughout, and an updated exterior courtyard with a new turf lawn, tropical plants, and outdoor seating area for the on-site restaurants. They’ve also added safety precautions to the building for customers.
While this is a major reinvention for the mall, you’ll still find many of your favorite stores, as well as new and expanded businesses. You can shop for dog gifts and treats at Bella and Lindy, browse gifts and home decor at Into Mischief Boutique, satisfy your sweet tooth at the Saratoga Chocolate Company, and even pick up some products at Saratoga CBD Wellness – just to name a few.
Dine Outdoors in the Courtyard
The Saratoga Marketplace’s expansive courtyard isn’t just a place for patio dining, it also connects the mall with its sister property, 17 Maple Avenue, which is home to The Night Owl, a cocktail bar and dance club, and Tatu, an authentic Mexican restaurant on the second floor. Courtyard seating is available for customers at both properties and Comfort Kitchen in the Saratoga Marketplace.
“The Marketplace and 17 Maple Ave have reached the vision we have held for the last 20 years for these historic buildings,” said Mark Strauss, co-owner of both properties, in the press release. “The prevalence of young entrepreneurs occupying businesses within our walls is inspiring and a testament to how much incredible local talent our city produces.”
Even more updates are expected at the Saratoga Marketplace in the coming months as both properties continue to grow. Stop by during your next trip to downtown Saratoga and discover everything they have to offer.
