Brave the Cold for a New Year’s Day Virtual 5K
It’s time to think positive and look forward to the new year! If you’re ready to start the new year off on the right foot, then sign up for the Run Into 2021 New Year’s Day Virtual 5K. Participants can walk/run anywhere they choose from January 1 – January 8, and proceeds benefit the Saratoga County Foundation’s SAVE OUR LOCALS campaign.
See What the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department Is Offering This Winter
The Saratoga Springs Recreation Department has announced details about their winter programs, which include Boys and Girls Instructional Basketball, a Pickleball League, Volleyball, Intro to Ice Skating, and more. In addition, both drop-in pickleball sessions and racquetball rentals are once again offered at the Rec Center. Ski season is underway in the Capital Region and North Country, and if you’re itching to hit the slopes, then be sure to plan ahead! Local ski resorts are open with new regulations in place, and it’s recommended that you purchase your ticket in advance.
Art in Public Places Online Exhibits Ending Soon
Saratoga Arts’ Art in Public Places program features monthly or bi-monthly exhibits of artists’ work. The December exhibits are available to view online from now through January 4, 2021. Visit Saratoga Arts’ website to view the unique artworks before December’s program ends.
SPAC Is Accepting Submissions for the 2021 Festival of Young Artists Online Gallery Exhibition
Presented by the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), The Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists (FOYA) is a celebration of the Capital Region’s brightest young dancers, musicians, singers, poets, and visual artists. SPAC is now accepting submissions in the forms of visual art, literary art, and the performing arts for the 2021 FOYA Online Gallery Exhibition, which will launch in March 2021. The deadline for all submissions is February 1, 2021, and you can find more details online.
