Saratoga Auto Museum Offers Free Admission to Kids
Looking for a fun way to keep the kids entertained? The Saratoga Auto Museum is offering free admission to kids 10 and under from Wednesday, February 17 – Sunday, February 21. Use their online admissions booking system and coupon code “KIDZ” to take advantage of this winter break special.
National Museum of Racing Accepting Scholarship Applications
In a recent press release, the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame announced that they are accepting applications for the 2021 Rodion Cantacuzene Scholarship, which recognizes young leaders and volunteers in Saratoga County. The $1,000 scholarship will be presented in June to a Saratoga County high school senior who has demonstrated a record of academic excellence, community service, and a strong interest in history or the arts. Open for Browsing – See What’s New at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library
The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library recently reopened for browsing and borrowing, and they are still providing limited curbside pickup services by appointment only. The library’s hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00am-7:00pm, and Saturday, 11:00am-3:00pm.

Matt McCabe Memorial: A Virtual Celebration of His Life & Legacy: Last month, Matt McCabe, longtime owner of Saratoga Guitar and dedicated member of Saratoga’s music scene, unfortunately passed away. As a way to celebrate his life and contributions to the community, Caffe Lena will host a special livestream on Saturday, February 20, featuring a virtual memorial and musical tribute.
Opera Saratoga Presents: “America Sings”: “America Sings,” Opera Saratoga’s free online concert series, will return on Sunday, February 21, with a performance by baritone Luis Orozco and pianist Michael Lewis. The concert will be livestreamed from Caffe Lena to the public for free, although donations are encouraged to support Opera Saratoga and the artists.
Spring Tang at Home Studio: Mark your calendar for the Spring 2021 Tang at Home Studio series, presented by the Tang Teaching Museum. On every Saturday from February 27 – May 8, the museum will host an online, family-centered art-making session.
Saratoga Soul Brandtville Blues: In celebration of Black History Month, the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation will welcome local author, educator, and musician Carol Daggs to talk about her family’s 120+ year history as Saratogians, which is featured in her book, “Saratoga Soul Brandtville Blues.” The hour-long virtual program will take place over Zoom on Tuesday, February 23, and it is open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
