The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Plans Return to Saratoga Springs

After a one-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) will return for its annual Saratoga Springs residency later this year. However, the concerts won’t take place at the Spa Little Theater. Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) has instead partnered with Pitney Meadows Community Farm to present the concerts at the farm’s beautiful open-air High Tunnel greenhouse.
The new series of concerts is named “CMS at the Meadows,” and it marks the first live performances that SPAC has presented since the 2020 season was canceled. There will be 12 performances from June 13 – August 29, 2021, and they will be limited to 200 attendees per show. Highlights will include Beethoven’s preeminent string quartets, Schumann’s timeless Piano Quartet in E-flat major, and the U.S. premiere of Twelve Blocks by pianist Michael Brown.
