Enjoy Gorgeous Views at The Overlook at Carson’s Woodside Tavern
Carson’s Woodside Tavern’s spacious patio, named The Overlook, is open to guests as of Wednesday, April 28. The Overlook features gorgeous views of Saratoga Lake and the surrounding area, outdoor seating, and a bar. Food will be served on the patio starting at 11:00am on Monday – Saturday and at noon on Sunday. The bar will be open at 3:00pm on Monday – Friday, 11:00am on Saturday, and noon on Sunday. And, you can look forward to live music returning on Saturday, May 1.
Kayak Shak in Saratoga Springs Announces Opening Day
Attention all paddlers! The Kayak Shak has announced that their 2021 opening day will be Saturday, May 1. The watersports company is already accepting reservations for single kayaks, double kayaks, and paddle boards, so visit their website and plan your first trip of the year.
Set Sail on Saratoga Lake with Adirondack Cruise & Charter Company
As the weather improves, one of the best ways to spend the day is out on the waters of Saratoga Lake. Local boat tour service Adirondack Cruise & Charter Company recently opened for the season, and you can now book a private charter on board one of their two vessels, the General Schuyler and the Kaydeross.
Spend Money in Mechanicville or Stillwater & You Can Win Cool Prizes
From May 1 – June 30, the Mechanicville-Stillwater Chamber of Commerce will host a special promotion to encourage support for local small businesses. All you have to do is spend at least $20.21 at any small, locally owned business in Mechanicville or Stillwater, and then email a picture of your receipt to info@saratoga.org.
By doing this, you will be entered to win a weekly drawing from a selection of gift cards valued at $50 – $100 from local small businesses. Participants will also have a chance to win the grand prize at the end of the promotion, which is a $500 gift card to the business of your choice in Stillwater or Mechanicville.
Malta Drive-In Theatre Is Officially Open for the Season
If you’ve missed going to the movies, then you’ll be happy to hear that as of last weekend, the Malta Drive-In Theatre is officially open for the 2021 season. COVID-19 guidelines are in place, and the drive-in theatre is still offering double features. This weekend, they will be showing Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train, and Nobody.
Lakeside Farms Reopens Their Restaurant, Bakery, and Gift Shoppe
After closing for winter, the popular Lakeside Farms in Ballston Lake reopened to visitors on Thursday, April 29. You can enjoy breakfast and lunch at their restaurant, see what’s new at the garden center, pick up some of your favorite baked goods, and explore the Ye Olde Farmhouse Gift Shoppe.
