As their business continues to grow, URBAN ROOTS, a Saratoga Springs juice bar and health food restaurant, has recently rebranded as THORN + ROOTS, an URBAN ROOTS experience. Although customers can expect the same foods and drinks they have come to love over the years, THORN + ROOTS will be evolving over the coming weeks and months.

SPAC Celebrates Young Artists in New Online Gallery
Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) has unveiled The 2021 Adirondack Trust Company Festival of Young Artists Online Gallery, which features 80 inspiring student creations from throughout the Capital Region. The gallery is titled “Metamorphosis,” and it includes a mix of visual artworks, literary pieces, and virtual performances of songs, dances, scenes, and music compositions.
In addition, SPAC is planning to host the live, in-person Festival of Young Artists on June 5. Over 100 students are working in collaboration with the world-renowned modern dance company Pilobolus. SPAC will announce more details at a later date.
Kids Can Enjoy Free Admission at the Saratoga Automobile Museum
To make learning fun during spring break, the Saratoga Automobile Museum is offering free admission to kids ages 10 and under from Monday, April 5 through Sunday, April 11. The museum is currently open seven days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 10:00m-5:00pm. Use the code “KIDZ” when booking your online reservation to take advantage of this special deal.
Saratoga’s Tailgate and Party Shop Prepares for Upcoming Move
Since opening last year, the Tailgate and Party Shop in downtown Saratoga has become a popular place for everything from unique gifts to novelty items and party supplies. However, the store recently announced that they will be moving from their current location at 53 Caroline Street to 33 Phila Street, which is just a few blocks away.
To help lighten to load, they are offering 10% off all non food and beverage items from April 5-10. Visit their shop this weekend, and mark your calendar for opening day at their new location on April 25.
CDPHP Cycle! Kicks Off Another Season of Bike Sharing
Looking to go riding in Saratoga but don’t own a bike? No worries! The popular bike sharing program called CDPHP Cycle! kicked off its 5th season earlier this week. Registered users can visit one of the designated CDPHP Cycle! bike racks, unlock one, and start exploring the community. CDPHP Cycle! features over 400 bikes across 80+ bike racks in Saratoga, Albany, Troy, Schenectady, and Cohoes.
Has Your Favorite Golf Course Reopened Yet?
Golfing is a fantastic way to spend a spring day outdoors, and more and more golf courses continue to reopen in Saratoga County each week. In fact, today (Friday, April 9) is the opening day for both McGregor Links Country Club and Saratoga Lake Golf Club in Saratoga Springs. Tee-times can be booked online, so finalize your plans and prepare to hit the green.
